Rod Baker Joins ISC Team as Financial Advisor

Gothenburg, NE, August 9, 2024: The Investment Service Center at Flatwater Bank

recently welcomed Rod Baker to its financial services office. Baker, a native of Hastings, Nebraska, graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in industrial engineering and was part of the 1997 National Championship football team while at Nebraska.

Rod has diversified work experience in manufacturing, distribution and supply chain management, before finding his true passion as a financial advisor in 2018. Rod worked as a financial advisor for five years in Cozad before joining the ISC team.

“I have always had an interest in financial planning and enjoy working with individuals and small businesses to address their financial planning needs. I really enjoy the team environment here at the Investment Service Center and can’t wait to continue to get to know and partner with more clients,” said Baker.

“We are committed to growing our team with the right people and working to meet the needs of our clients in Gothenburg and surrounding communities,” said Nathan Wyatt of the Investment Service Center. “Rod will be a great fit for our growing team, and we look forward to him working with new and existing clients to address their planning needs.”

Rod and his wife, Shauna, reside in Cozad with their four children: Makaia, Landon, Koehn and Carsten, and their dog, Fresca. They enjoy spending time as a family outdoors. Being a contributor to the community is very important to Rod. He is currently serving on the Charitable Fund of Cozad board, and assistant coach for Cozad middle school football and assistant coach for Cozad varsity and junior varsity track and field. His prior volunteer positions include serving on the Cozad Chamber of Commerce board and Cozad Development Corporation board.
