Grill and Chill Sweepstakes

ELIGIBILITY
The Sweepstake is open to the public. Must be 18 years or older to enter. Participants must be legal residents of the United States. Sponsors (Flatwater Bank) have the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant. This contest is not open to Flatwater Bank employees or their immediate family members. To be eligible, nominations must feature small businesses located in the Gothenburg (zip code 69138) or Brady (zip code 69123). A small business is defined as a local business with less than 250 employees.
CONTEST PERIOD
The Sweepstake begins on Friday, June 6 at 9 a.m. CT and ends at 11:59 on Sunday, June 15, 2025 (“Sweepstake Period”). All entries (“Nominations”) must be received by 11:59 p.m. CT on Sunday, June 15 (“Nomination Period”). Sponsors reserve the right to extend or shorten the sweepstake at their sole discretion.
The Flatwater Bank team will select three nominated businesses to enter the voting phase.
Public voting to determine the winner will be held on Flatwater Bank’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Votes will be accepted on the finalist voting post from 9 a.m. CT on Monday, June 16, through 11:59 p.m. CT on Sunday, June 22. The business with the most votes will win the grill party. The winners will be announced on Flatwater Bank’s Facebook and Instagram pages before 11:59 p.m. CT on Wednesday, June 25.
HOW TO ENTER
No purchase necessary. To enter, community members comment their favorite local business on Flatwater Bank’s Facebook or Instagram sweepstake post and describe why the business deserves to win the grill party. Community members can also visit Flatwater Bank to submit their nomination. Comments/submissions must not contain offensive material or solicitations. Flatwater Bank reserves the right to delete any comments/submissions that do not follow these Sweepstake Rules.
WINNER SELECTION
Flatwater Bank will select three nominations out of the eligible entries received during the Nomination Period to advance to the Public Voting Period . The “Public Voting Period” will take place on Flatwater Bank’s Facebook and Instagram Page. Community members will vote for their choice to win the grill party by “liking” or “loving” the picture of their favorite business. The business with the most votes (“likes” and “loves”) will win the sweepstake and receive the prize.
If a potential prize winner cannot be reached by Flatwater Bank within one week of the winner announcement—that winner shall forfeit the prize. The alternate winner will be the next finalist with the most votes.
PRIZE
The winning business, as voted on by the public, will win a grill party for its employees hosted by Flatwater Bank . The winning business will be contacted by Flatwater Bank to coordinate a date that works for both the winning business and Flatwater Bank.
ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS
Sponsors and their respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Sweepstake, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting or these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Any attempt to damage the operation of this Sweepstake is unlawful and subject to possible legal action by Sponsors. Sponsors reserve the right to terminate, suspend or amend the Sweepstake, without notice, and for any reason, including, without limitation, if Sponsors determine that the Sweepstake cannot be conducted as planned or should a virus, bug, tampering or unauthorized intervention, technical failure or other cause beyond Sponsors' control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Sweepstake. In the event any tampering or unauthorized intervention may have occurred, Sponsors reserve the right to void suspect entries at issue. Sponsors and their respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives, and any telephone network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online service or any other error, human or otherwise.
INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By entering the contest, each entrant agrees to indemnify, release and hold harmless Sponsors and their parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, Meta platforms, administrator, advertising and promotional agencies, and all their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from any liability, damages, losses or injury resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from that entrant’s participation in the contest and the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize that may be won. Sponsors and their parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies do not make any warranties, express or implied, as to the condition, fitness or merchantability of the prize. Sponsors and their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, and all their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents disclaim any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from access to or the download of information or materials connected with the contest.
PUBLICITY
By participating, each entrant grants Sponsors permission to contact nominees to use the photo, his/her name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment, except where prohibited by law.
